Everybody loves high school life, but we don’t stop being a high school. The hardest part of a student life is when you’re in college. You feel fear for terror professors, no chance to be lazy and less play time. Everything must be seriously taken. But hey! There are lots of things you’re missing when you look this way. College life is exciting and fun. There are good things you will learn in this stage. Let me share to you some things you must do to make your college life an exciting one.

1. Know the makeup basics. Being a college means exposing yourself. Nobody actually wears makeup in high school so now that you’re in college you must learn the basics in makeup – like foundation, concealer, powder, sun block, lip gloss, etc. you can choose the best color that suits your skin tone. So the next time you go out on a gimik with your friends, wear the best makeup ever!

2. Say “Bye-bye dependency”. Now that you’re in college, you must learn to stand on your, that doesn’t mean to abandon your family, instead you must develop your sense of responsibility and manage your own resources. College I your preparation to reality of life. Learning to save your money, handling your time well and asking yourself to be extra careful are some signs of being independent.

3. Simply be yourself. Most of us if not everybody experienced a culture shock at first day in the university. Everything is new to your eyes. It’s the time to add new friends and barkadas on your pocket. But you must strengthen your personality first. What do I mean? You must equip yourself with your own identity. Yes there are lots of possible friends, but not all are good. They might influence you but the scariest thing is that they might talk something bad about you. You’re different from them; always bear that in your mind. No, you’re not an alien but everyone has its own uniqueness so as you. Don’t let anybody stole your own identity, because in the end your survival depends on you.

4. Take all the chances. It’s a good thing to know you abilities, talents and skills. But that doesn’t stop there; you must enhance your weakest and strongest point. College life is full of chances and opportunities all you have to do is to b sensitive with them. Before I’m hesitant to try new things for myself, but I overcome it. I explored myself and tried new things that will define myself more. And now I’m enjoying it. You must take the risk, but I tell you it’s worth trying for. I’m major in Journalism so now I’m practicing with it. I enjoy at the same time I learn. You must discover your own.

5. Be kind yourself. College life is not just about studying, studying and studying. You can do that at the same time enjoy. How? All you have to do is give yourself a break. After the examination period why not treat yourself. Have a cone of ice cream or bring yourself to a clothing shop and buy some. What’s my point? Enjoy it. Study as much as you could but learn to stop when you’re full. Studying in college is about enjoyment, don’t be hard on yourself. 

They say, “Love is sweeter the second time around”, But I say, “Friendship is sweeter the second time around.”

It’s been a year passed when my friend and I abandoned the friendship that we have kept for 13 years. For what reason? None specific. We just felt boredom in each other’s presence. And “somebody” unintentionally wanted us to be like that. No. I don’t want to elaborate things; coz the hurt still lingers inside.

I wasn’t aware, we were unconscious that we lose our friendship in a moment of time. I was duped; I was too hasty in my decisions. Soon to find out that my pride had eaten me up, and it will be hard for us to bring back everything.

Bitterness fills me then, I was too proud that I couldn’t admit my mistakes. It was hard for me to let off things. I couldn’t forgive, I thought. I can still remember those days that I consider no one as my friend; because of the hurt they brought to me.

No she’s not my best friend but the warmth of our comradeship, is much more than best friends could ever have. I never call her “BF” nor promised to her “BFF”.

And now, after the impossibilities of life, here we are, starting over again. Endeavoring to bring back the glee of the friendship we had once broken. The gladness: It’s triple times before; the excitement: it’s incomparable. 

Now I can say that, “Friendship is sweeter the second time around” coz it happens to me. 

Our prof – Dr. Magpayo told us to write a poem that will explain our entire being. so that’s it i wrote something that will explain my being as a “papa’s girl” . I actually wrote this for my father. If there someone i adore most, it’s him.  

A Love Letter

I ask you to study hard,

For your life to succeed.

I ask you to read this book,

For you to understand and get hooked.

I told you to be a lighthouse,

And never a candle under bushels.

I told you to be a friend,

So that some love you might send.

I love seeing you fair as a rose

And never wipe tears of thorns.

I build your feet like rock,

So that in times you won’t fall back.

There are times you will feel so weak,

But never find reason to blink.

In life, there will be villains

Whose aim’s to make you slain.

“Love the people I love”,

But first love the Shepherd of Love.

You cannot please everybody,

But at least try to please somebody.

“Be a lawyer someday…”

But don’t forget the old way.

Love those things that make you glad,

And learn from things that make you sad.

Now i’ll be giving my TOP 5

5th. Kentucky Fried Chicken a.k.a. “KFC” . Yah. That’s one of the common here in the Philippines, but i love their chicken recipe. I actually once aimed to visit their place atleast twice a month. I hope we could have them here in Malolos:)

For the 4th Place – PiZZA HUT!

Pizza Hut is an American restaurant first started in Addison Texas.  They are offering different flavors of pizzas. They have over hundred of branches all over the world. And fortunately we also have here in the Philippines.

Me and my friend rianelle is so addicted on their pizzas! Yah. She loves Pizza Hut so much. My favorite pizza flavor – Triple Meat Italiano.

FUN FACT: Our Barkada’s first date was in Pizza Hut, SM Marilao

Shakey’s Pizza Restaurant for 3rd Place! It’s been a part of my childhood. Coz even when i’m still but a child i can’t wait for Saturdays to enjoy Shakey’s Pizza.

Max’s got the 2nd place in my heart If shakey’s has been a part of my childhood, so as Max’s Restaurant. Yep! I love everything in Max’s. The ambience inside (it’s solemn and calm), the crew (they are very friendly ) And most of all their menu! i love their original chicken recipe that none other has made it that way!

And the 1st Place goes to:

Why? Simply beacuse it’s so delicious! Yummy! Delectable! and Lip-Smacking! (LOL) But it’s tru especially their all new Carbonara Pizza! hmmm! I Love it! I can’t wait for my next visit there!
